Job description
We are looking for 4 Business Officers for a 6 month contract working from home (after training) conducting data input/data quality checking.
The successful candidates need to be proficient with computer software (ie Microsoft Word and Excel) and online applications, have an excellent eye for detail, and know how to multitask.
This is a Monday - Friday position. Initial training for this role (usually a couple days) will be carried out in Huntingdon (Cambs). There will be occasional needs to visit this office.
Responsibilities:
- You will be required to complete a variety of administrative tasks including data entry, processing and verification.
- Review and edit data for completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting any errors. Import and export data between different systems, verifying consistency and accuracy.
- Ensure data is structured in a manner that facilitates ease of access and understanding for system users
- Understand and respect data confidentiality principles, ensuring that sensitive information is handled responsibly.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication, responding to queries in a timely manner, and delivering work as agreed.
- Continually strive to increase proficiency and speed in data entry tasks.
To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated, organised and flexible, with the ability to manage your own workload, prioritise and forward plan. You will have excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to represent the service in a positive and professional manner, including communicating with a wide range of internal and external customers.
You must be reliable, have a polite manner and a friendly approach to help you get on with people at all levels. You will need to be a good team worker but also have the ability to work on your own initiative when required and be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience within the Local Authority and develop knowledge and understanding of the Education Service.
