We are excited to offer the opportunity for a full-time position as a Business Services Coordinator. This post is available to candidates who wish to contribute to the on-going success of the service.

The post can be be based at Ipswich Hospital or Colchester hospital. You will be expected to work on both sites as required as well as at home too.

You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly organised and have a passion for helping people. You will work within our Business Support Unit (BSU) who themselves support our busy IT Support teams. The BSU look after all of IT's admin such as contracts, procurement, asset control, stock management and more.

You will need a track record in all of the above and have exemplary dedication to customer service.

An ability to work quickly and methodically, sometimes in a highly interactive atmosphere, is also required.

As a Business Services Coordinator , you will:

  • Coordinate and communicate: You will serve as the primary point of contact for administration in our IT support teams, coordinating communication between team members, vendors, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support: You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative tasks for the IT support team, including scheduling appointments, ordering, procurement, purchase orders, invoicing, maintaining records and providing support for travel arrangements.
  • Request Management: You will handle requests from colleagues for items such equipment procurement, and other stakeholders related to IT. You will track requests, ensure they are properly prioritized, and coordinate with the IT support team to provide our service.
  • Vendor Management: You will coordinate with vendors to manage contracts, negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships.
  • To undertake general administration duties across the IT Operations team within the ‘Business support Unit’

  • Procurement: The IT Business Support Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the procurement of IT equipment and resources for the organization. This includes researching and evaluating vendors, helping negotiating contracts, and ensuring that purchases are within budget and comply with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Asset Management: The IT Business Support Coordinator helps maintain an inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses. They also help to ensure that all IT assets are properly maintained, tracked, and disposed of at the end of their lifecycle.
  • Administration: The IT Business Support Coordinator performs administrative tasks such as maintaining IT policies and procedures, coordinating IT-related training, and managing IT-related projects.
  • To provide an efficient and courteous procurement support service to staff as a member of the Trust’s IT support team.
  • Assist, where needed the Head of IT Service Delivery and Business Support Unit Manager with light-touch PA type activities.
  • To support with admin tasks within the IT operations team where asked.
