Job Title: Business Operations Manager
An excellent opportunity to work for a well-established family business has become available at Polaris Catering and Refrigeration Ltd. We require a Business Operations Manager to lead our Administration team in a dynamic and positive way, whilst working closely with our Customer Service's Manager. The position will be based at our offices in Brierley Hill.
Our team of Engineers provide Service calls, Maintenance Contracts, plus Installation and sales of new equipment for all types of Catering & Refrigeration Equipment in the midlands and the surrounding areas. We are continuing to expand and grow and require a Operation's Manager to support this expansion and growth by improving efficiency and productivity.
As a company we encourage our staff to suggest new ideas and way of working, as service improvements changes, are important to us.
Duties:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
- Manage and optimize business processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas of concern
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with business objectives
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance
- Analyse financial data and prepare reports for senior management
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business operations
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration or related field or Extensive experience in business
operations management or a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and work well within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel skills
- Knowledge of project management methods
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure
