We’re looking for someone to join our team who can support Metaprise as an Business Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Understand all aspects of a payment transaction, from payment acceptance, reconciliation, dispute resolution, and payouts
- Review and reconcile domestic and international ACH, Wire, and F/X funds transfers
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to complex problems; create operational efficiencies, time savings and risk reductions; maintain a strategic vision with the ability to drive innovation
- Assists with project design and implementation
- Monitoring and ensuring stability of all the systems to meet or exceed SLAs
- Establish best practices, workflow improvements, and document processes and procedures to maintain adherence
- Understand and accurately report the most current agreement terms, and as changes are executed, ensure the necessary systems are maintained appropriately
- Maintain key operational metrics as well as identify opportunities for business process improvements across multiple products and business units
- Communicate effectively with a global team and stakeholders to gain shared understanding of strategic requirements
- Communicate directly with customers, by phone or email, regarding account audits, restrictions, and cancellations
- Provide your expertise regarding global payment trends, fees, rules, and regulations
- Interface and collaborate with cross functional teams
- Assist in preparing, maintaining, and proper storage of documentation and general administrative duties as it pertains to company operations
- Act as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for operational and payments queries
- Demonstrate proficiency in operations and transaction accuracy
- Consult with appropriate regulatory agencies when required
- Other ad hoc projects + duties as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Finance, Business, Management, or other related fields
- 2-3+ years of operations, finance, treasury management, payment processing, or banking services experience
- Product/technical knowledge, experience in operations, strategy or consulting; and/or high-growth startup experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of US banking relating to bank documentation, foreign and domestic wires, ACH, and check payments, and other common corporate treasury services
- Working knowledge of international cash settlement process/FX & SWIFT
- Ability to problem solve and reconcile data
- Strong work ethic; superior critical thinking, reasoning, and decision-making skills
- You have expert communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable; Excels in a fast paced environment
- You're adept at making smart decisions in the face of ambiguity
- Strategic thinker who maintains a focus on process excellence and improvement
- Ability to influence internal and external teams to resolve critical items and achieve organizational objectives on an expedient basis
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Trello, Microsoft Office, & GSuite
