Boeing in Sheffield England is Boeing’s first European factory, and is proud to be a leading-edge producer of complex aircraft parts and assemblies. They work closely with the Advanced Machining Research Center (AMRC) on breakthrough processes and technology. The site is looking for the right person to lead strategy and business operations, and act as a key member of the site leadership team.

The Role:

This position is for a first line Business Operations Manager, who will be responsible for managing a small team of employees performing business / program management activities. This role requires excellent communication, integration and collaboration skills as well as knowledge of program management best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide structure, guidance and motivation to team a whole, as well as support individual team member development goals.
  • Execute Business Operations processes across given statement of work and implement program management best practices
  • Work with site leadership team to develop and implement long and short-term site strategies
  • Develop and execute project and process improvement plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.
  • Ensure consistent management system processes and tools are used. Regularly review management system execution, and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

As a member of the Sheffield site leadership team, the responsibilities include interfacing with management throughout the Boeing Enterprise from many occupations and organizations to provide leadership and coordination.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role.
  • 3+ years of experience with program management, project management and/or business operations.
  • 3+ years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • A Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or higher.
