Reporting into the Costing Manager, you will manage one team member, with responsibility for providing commercial, analytical, and problem-solving expertise to Royal Mail.
About the role
In this role you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Royal Mail’s LRAIC model, working and liaising with the Regulatory Economists on the methodology underpinning the model.
You will work with Operations on the cost-volume relationships, and the Costing team on the underlying data. Alongside this, you’ll educate the business on the use of LRAIC and oversee the supply of results as required.
You’ll manage the modelling requirements of the review for non-ratecard pricing processes and lead on improvements to the data quality and integrity.
You will provide other ad hoc business analysis as required and maintain the integrity of the LRAIC methodology while understanding a range of stakeholder agendas.
About you
To truly excel in this role, you’ll possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
- A degree in a STEM subject (Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics), Finance qualification, or similar experience
- Excellent track record of stakeholder engagement and the confidence to challenge assumptions and respond to being challenged
- Extensive modelling experience of applying analytical solutions to business problems at both a tactical and strategic level
- Able to think innovatively in solving business problems, and willingness to learn new technologies on the job
- Ability to engage and involve others and be able to work across teams from different disciplines and functions
- Computer literate, comfortable using Excel
