Your role
We’re looking for a Business Risk Manager to join the HR Performance & Reward (P&R) team to:
- take the lead across our Risk portfolio working closely with central HR Risk team and partners (CORC, Audit, Issue Assurance) to strengthen our risk focus to be more proactive
- lead on risk to manage, coordinate and track progress so that risk remediation activities stay on track and close on time
- be the go to person for triaging and escalating risk related events, guiding teams and managing through to conclusion
- provide risk portfolio reporting for the function on key metrics and management reports
- guide, coordinate, review and support teams on risk opening, planning and closure packs so that outcomes are clear and closure packs are ready for senior management approval
- proactively driving improvement such as risk / thematic reviews (e.g. identify risk areas in current products and processes and support identifying improvements and mitigation plans)
- increase risk knowledge and capability build across the function through a learning focus
- coordinate issue assurance, review and improvement of controls including half yearly controls assessment
- manage end-user-application P&R inventory including review and monitoring
- coordinate regular trading black out reporting and BCM reporting
- keep colleagues informed and up to date on P&R risk activities and central risk changes
- partner with experts across the organization to simplify and improve how we work

- very organized and not fazed by being asked to juggle many tasks simultaneously
- experience of risk, risk remediation, compliance or audit
- you get into the details to understand what’s going on in order to improve
- ideally and understanding of HR will you to understand the context and subtleties
- ability to work across teams, build relationships and being client focused
- master of PowerPoint and Excel, able to write simply and tell a story
- strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
- expert at building networks and connections
- known for hitting deadlines
- problem solver with a strategic & innovative outlook
- solutions oriented, not afraid to make decisions using sound judgement
