We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Submarines business. The Submarines business is the technical authority for the UK Nuclear Steam Raising plant which powers the Royal Navy’s Nuclear Submarines fleet for the design, manufacturing, build and in service support programmes within Submarines. The business supports both customer facing and operational (2 factories) activities. The revenue is derived from principally firm and target cost long term contracts.The Finance business partner will report to a senior finance BP. The role will have both operational and customer involvement

What you will be doing:
Yoiu will be working with Senior Management Teams to ensure that business meets/beats the financial commitments. Identifying drivers and connections of the business performance
- Working with the business area in the development of business plans/cases and investment requests as required
- Working with the business in development of financial and commercial strategy for new work/contract renewals, including the transition to more risk based contracts and operating under Single Source Contracting Regulations. Financial evaluation of Business Evaluation Forms
- Producing business forecasts that are balanced, challenging and supported by coherent assumptions
- Ensuring contract reviews meet governance requirements and challenge business performance
- Regular interface with Customer through provision of MoD FOO and any other performance reviews. Providing support to ensure safeguarding of customer assets as required
- Ensuring cost claims – cost certificates/cost rates are provided as required and support any necessary justifications to MoD and MoD auditors
- Liaise with statutory auditors
- Responsibility for relevant business area in the DBU’s Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet control and fidelity
- Member of the finance function in Subs and providing a leadership role in both the finance area and the businesses 1st lines
- Strategic and operational support to Submarines FD as required
- Promotion of financial awareness within the business
- Lead, engage and develop finance staff

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
