The Vice President role provides a unique opportunity to interact with multiple lines of business and internal stakeholders while analyzing the business drivers of JPMCB and other LEs. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial drivers in Banking and demonstrates proficiency in banking capital, financial analysis, synthesis, and collaboration.
The Bank P&A function is responsible for financial forecasting, reporting and capital monitoring for the Consolidated Lead Bank (JPMCB) and other LEs. Responsibilities include:
- Analytical review of financial results in BAU forecast and stress exercises from bi-weekly forecast and Budget through the most severe economic projections (CCAR/DFAST; Recovery and Resolution (R&R))
- Analysis and recommendations regarding the amount and timing of the regular Bank dividend to the parent company
- Reporting to senior management, the Board, and key U.S. regulatory agencies
- Partnership with Capital Planning & Analysis, Capital Policies, and Capital Risk Management in review and challenge of Bank financial presentation and capital plans
Job responsibilities:
- Analyzing recurring legal entity financial forecasts and describing key business drivers and focus areas for both BAU and Stress forecasts
- Partnering with Treasury, Capital Policy, and Firmwide/Capital Planning & Analysis teams to ensure robust capital planning, including the calibration of capital plans and targets
- Preparing and reviewing monthly & quarterly senior management and regulatory reports before distribution
- Supporting the Bank’s Recovery & Resolution Plans, including detailed review and challenge of pro forma financial analyses
- Identifying operating efficiencies and automation solutions that benefit team productivity
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
We recognize that you may not have specific work experience related to legal entities but that does not mean you don’t possess the skills to be successful in this role. Our teams are committed to training and coaching new members to ensure that they are successful in the role. As a guideline, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
- 5-7 years finance/accounting related experience
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, self-initiative and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build strong cross-business and cross-functional relationships
- Experience managing multiple, concurrent workstreams with a sense of urgency
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and intellectually curious
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with planning/forecasting, experience with capital/RWA is a plus
- Broad knowledge of US Regulatory Capital rules is a plus
- Some experience managing or supervising junior staff
