Salary Grade 7 / 8 (SCP18 – SCP28) (£27,344.00 - £34,723.00 pro rota) dependent upon experience

Job Title: School Business Manager Primary School
37 hours per week, term time, plus four additional weeks. Working hours and pattern can be negotiated and discussed with successful applicant but are to be worked over 5 days.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our leadership team at Worth Primary School. The Governing Board and Headteacher of Worth Primary School seek to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated School Business Manager from September 2023.
The role of the School Business Manager is central to the success of our school and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our friendly and committed team. The School Business Manager works closely with the Headteacher in both a strategic capacity and on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic management of financial operations, the routine management of the school office, human resources, premises and health & safety, in conjunction with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Governing Board. The successful candidate will have a positive, confident and flexible approach while managing a diverse and demanding workload and be self-motivated, dynamic and innovative.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Knowledge and experience of finance leadership, including planning, forecasting, budget setting,
overseeing preparation of accounts and statutory reporting.
- The skills and ability to work with IT based management and financial information systems.
- Experience of leading on Health & Safety including Premises and Facilities Management.
- A working knowledge of Education HR and ability to manage the HR requirements of the school
- Excellent organisational, administrative, record keeping and presentation skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.

We are an Academy School in Poynton which has single form entry (Approximately 210 children on roll). We offer out of hours wraparound care for the parents and carers of pupils who attend our school.
