Job title: Project & Business Management Controller
Location: Samlesbury. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
Salary: Up to £43,323 depending on skills and experience
There are two positions available, one is Project Controller and the other is a Business Management Controller.
The I&FS business has been structured to create a focused business, designed to meet the current and future requirements of BAE Systems and customer site infrastructure.
What you’ll be doing:
Project Controller
- Providing monthly and end of year project control support and actuals updates inclusive of EAC reporting, re-forecast submissions, collation and financial data management
- Supporting project and investment status reviews, preparation, facilitation, and action output management
- Providing toolset support, governance and utilisation project registers, key project control documents, milestone trackers and project control workbooks
- Providing ERP system support to manage project set up and closure, order reconciliation, governance and data validation
- Reporting on business inputs and support, project status/investment reviews, as well as capital and revenue projects
- Providing monthly management packs and ad-hoc support as required
Business Management Controller
- Supporting business case development including stakeholder engagement, ensuring business cases progress through life to sign off
- Supporting capital reviews with the Unit Facilities Manager, collating review updates and undertaking output actions
- Supporting monthly capital and revenue reviews, providing milestones and business case status slides and updates
- Supporting capital IBP, collecting proposal for work forms, and facilitating capital project submission data in advance of review sessions
- Supporting and facilitate Life Cycle Management requirements
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Degree or relevant experience with demonstrable track record in a similar role
- Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and management
- Good knowledge of project control techniques coupled with an understanding of Cost Management, project scheduling and IT business systems
Desirable
- APMQ or similar qualification
- Experience with project / contract status reviews, business reporting requirements and exposure to business case development
- Understanding of Project and Business Risk and Opportunity Management

The I&FS (Infrastructure & Facilities Services) team:
The I&FS business has an unrivalled track record and expertise in the development, delivery and support of Facilities and Infrastructure both on BAE and military sites within the UK and overseas, supporting platforms such as Typhoon, F-35 Lightning II, Tornado and Hawk.
You will provide support, guidance, and governance to the I&FS business and PBM line management team. Ensuring a robust, comprehensive, and controlled service is upheld in support of the I&FS Capital and Revenue brochure of works and requirements.
