As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for building mechanisms to deeply understand the business from our client’s perspective, ensuring continued best-in-class performance. Within the department, your role is to provide deep insight and analysis into performance at a granular level and make recommendations on your findings to key stakeholders. You will be reporting directly to our Business Intelligence Manager in a flat-structured organisation and you will need to understand key performance indicators, be highly analytical and have strong problem-solving and data-understanding skills.
It's a hybrid role with currently 3 days in the office, predominately based in Harlow Town (at least 2 days per week), and with the flexibility of working from our other offices located in London (City), Darlington, Bolton, Market Harborough and Stoke-on-Trent.
Responsibilities
- Constantly monitor and review Group performance covering multiple divisions.
- Review capacity requirements for the call centre and field force.
- Analyse, monitor and show thought leadership for the constant evolvement of the KPI dashboards hosted in Power BI.
- Host weekly meetings for specific clients with key business stakeholders to highlight any potential concerns, and monitor all remedial actions agreed upon.
- Assist in the planning of system migrations and the post-reconciliation.
- Attend client meetings and give performance presentations as necessary.
- Liaise and attend meetings with other departments necessary to perform duties.
- Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures to populate reporting datasets and conduct analyses.
- Support other departments with their data needs and build new reports where needed.
- Frequently review the data allocation in the database and make recommendations for improvements; monitor, analyse and report on any changes made.
- Report on current business strategies and make recommendations for improvements.
- Influence data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
- Monitor and review the propensity scoring models’ effectiveness.
Personal qualities, experience and skills
- Minimum of 3 years of analytical experience
- Experience with the following technologies essential:
o Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Pivots, etc.)
o Advanced SQL (CTEs, data structure and data processing)
o Advanced knowledge of Data Visualisation software (we use Power BI)
- Experience with the following technology is preferential:
o SAP Crystal Reporting
o Nexum software
- Track record of diving into data to discover hidden patterns and of conducting data modelling and data analysis.
- Strong data-understanding skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
