The Motor Product Insight team uses data from various internal and external sources to answer business questions. But it’s the people who provide the insight and we’re looking to add to our talented team.
We are looking for motivated individuals to drive our business forward, and support various business operations, through the provision of reports, information, and analysis to key decision makers. The role is varied and you will be supporting departments such as Motor Product, Premium Finance, and Ancillaries.
Job Purpose
To support decision makers and the wider business by providing insight and analysis to support ongoing business objectives.
Main Duties
- You will analyse and model information and interrupt to provide insight to the business
- Use and improve processes for managing and prioritising information requests including documentation of developed reports
- Carry out data mining, analysis, visualization, and present findings
- You actively support business initiatives by matching user reporting requirements to relevant reporting tools and assist in the development of required reports
- Act as an internal consultant using specialist knowledge, skills and experience to advise on the development and implementation of analyses, processes, and initiatives to meet business needs
- Liaise with staff from other areas of the business to establish reporting needs and deliver insightful and accurate information
- Timely delivery of regular and ad hoc reports
- Support the business by maintaining and developing a suite of reports for members of the analysis and management teams
Key Skills
- Comfortable in producing and interpreting numerical data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate findings clearly to a non-technical audience.
- A desire to approach problems in an imaginative ways and probe available information to reveal new or unexpected insights.
- A keen desire to take on challenges, learn new skills and improve existing methods.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail

Desirable qualities
- Experience in computer programming for data analysis, e.g. in SAS, SQL, R, or Python.
- Knowledge or experience of using methods of statistical inference.
- A degree in a numerate discipline.
In addition to the above the analyst must be prepared to undertake additional duties as and when required to support the business.
