JOB TITLE: Business Insight Analyst (12 Month FTC)
SALARY: £45,054 - £50,060
LOCATION(S): Dundee
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About this opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Embark Data Analytics and Insight team which is a part of the dynamic Insurance, Pensions, and Investments division of Lloyds Banking Group.
As a Business Insight Analyst, you will sit in the heart of a multi-functional team working alongside the business, IT & Change, Propositions, Distribution, Operations, and other Business Intelligence specialists to help bring data to life and create relevant insight. You will be joining the team at an exciting time where we are undergoing a program to transform how we use data across the organisation, and you will help deliver the Embark data strategy.
Key accountabilities
Work closely with insight managers and data engineers to improve, develop, and deliver robust and actionable insight.
Build technical, maintenance and support documentation.
Collect and understand insight requirements and transform these into visually impactful reports.
Design creative data models and ETL processes
Proactively identify and support actions to improve customer and trading actions through insight & BI
Develop the existing Power BI insight suites and ensure reports meet quality and consistency expectations.
Understand market trends and apply them to our data.

What you’ll need
Experience with Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tool is crucial.
Proficiency in using MS Office with advanced knowledge of Excel, including Power Query.
Ability to evaluate large data sets to build solutions and insights. Good understanding of data modelling techniques and data warehousing is helpful.
Possess strong analytical, organisational, and forecasting skills with an outstanding eye for detail.
Ability to work well within a hybrid team environment and build effective team relationships.
Proactive and inquisitive nature with the ability to innovate and challenge in support of the business model we are operating.
Capable of prioritising multiple projects while still achieving deadlines
Understanding of the constraints of using confidential and client data
