Women & Children’s Services delivers Gynaecology, Maternity and Paediatric Services at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. We provide several specialist services serving not only Norfolk, but the wider East Anglia Region.

Despite the breadth of services we deliver, we remain a team of multi-disciplinary professionals who know each other by name. We support colleagues to develop their career, with training and mentoring provided in-house and drawing on the wider range of support the NNUH can provide.

To assist Women and Children’s Division to progress against its core objectives and ensure delivery of the business plan.

This will require the application of analytical techniques to interpret information from a variety of different sources for operational, strategic and performance management purposes. The post holder will translate the information into simple to understand reports and then support Directorates to deliver improvement.

The Business & Information Support Manager will be responsible for several business change projects, performance reporting and will lead the divisional financial improvement plan.

The following skills and experience will be required and are essential for the successful candidates:
  • In conjunction with the Deputy Divisional Operational Director (DDOD) and Operational Managers, support the delivery of major change programmes within the Directorate applying the principles of service redesign and change management
  • Establish the effective use of management information as a basis for problem solving and decision making
  • Support in the preparation of Directorate activity and access plans and produce capacity and demand models
  • Support in the preparation of directorate service plans, which will contribute to the Divisional strategy
  • Development of business cases and other proposals for service improvements, for submission to Divisional Board and Executive Board
  • Ensure effective systems for involving patients in planning of services and providing feedback
  • Support in the formulation of Directorate/Departmental operational plans and ensure that these contribute to the achievement of Divisional plan and are supported by benchmarking and capacity planning models
