ConnectBike is a scale-up, established in 2017 to conquer the Delivery (West) European e-bike market. Our approach is to combine the best delivery E-bike in the world (produced by Giant in Taiwan) with best-in-class service and with a lease concept which allows our customers to pay a monthly all-inclusive lease fee per bike (and not purchase the bikes themselves).
The major customers of ConnectBike are blue chip companies like Just Eat Takeaway, Domino’s Pizza, New York Pizza, Pizza Hut, Stuart, Getir, Safeway’s and various regional food chains. In the Benelux market, we also have care-, education- and hospitality customers. At this moment, ConnectBike has both fixed and mobile service hubs in the Netherlands, Belgium, The UK, Switzerland and Spain. We will also launch our concept before year end in France and Germany. To further develop the business, ConnectBike is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Business Development Manager for The UK (London based).
Role Business Development Manager:
- Increase sales with existing customers: contact counterparts at head office level and owners, managers, and employees at location level. Develop account management plans, service level agreements, pricing structure and others.
- Develop new customers: be able to develop a professional relationship with new customers from scratch and generate new business opportunities through LinkedIn and other channels until closing the deal stage.
- Obtain relevant market information: find new customers, process all activities in our CRM system (ZOHO), be able to assess the market size, growth segments, activities of customers and competitors, etc.
- Reporting sales activities: and report monthly on sales volumes, sales – and Marcom activities, and demand & supply planning.
- Reports to: The UK Country Manager.
Background Business Development Manager:
- Level of education: At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant study. E.g. Business Administration or Economics.
- Independent: as this role will report to the London office, it is important to be a self-starter and work independently
- Experience: preferably at least 3 years’ experience in (a) relevant sales role(s)
- Scale-up: understand and have experience with scale-ups: strong “can do” attitude, able to solve issues independently, keeping focus at priorities and think out of the box.
- Communicator: excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, being a real people person who can build a strong rapport easily
- Team player: being able to work closely with colleagues of different disciplines in the country.
- Drivers License : Essential as you will have access to our company car
- Computer skills: being able to work with modern IT infrastructure such as Exact, Zoho (CRM), PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Diversity: is important for ConnectBike. We want to have 50:50 male-female division. At this moment, employees of ConnectBike represent about 13 different nationalities and we would like to increase this number.
Package, which ConnectBike UK is willing to offer:
- Salary: £ 55,000 - £ 60,000 per annum (OTE)

This is a full-time position for 40 hours a week. Salary grading is based on education, experience and proven competencies.
