The Role
The role of Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for generating new business. As a Business Development Manager, you will be selling our award-winning RiskProof software along with a full range of Food, Health & Safety and Fire Safety Compliance and Training solutions into the Hospitality, Retail and Leisure sectors.
This role is part of the Commercial Team and reports into the Business Development Director.
Full product and services training is provided and we have an industry-leading uncapped commission structure.

Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Sales Development Representatives and others with the Commercial team to book and attend appointments with new prospects, both virtually and in-person
- Responsible for individual sales target
- Management of sales leads and keeping CRM up to date
- Responsible for the accuracy of sales letters and quote agreements provided to customers
- Responsible for individual product knowledge
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of all written and verbal communication to clients, prospects and suspects
- Build and maintain key customer relationships
- Promote the company's products and services, addressing or predicting customer objectives/needs
- Manage and coordinate pitches, tenders and client presentations
- Weekly reporting and sales forecasting
Skills & Experience
- Field based & Web based sales experience, preferably selling a professional service and SaaS based software
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Business Development Manager role
- Demonstrable consistent target achievement in a high-pressure sales environment
- Proven success of closing sales via web demonstration, with the ability to close the sale in the first appointment
- Experience of working with CRM systems, including the ability to nurture leads through a CRM system and convert to a sale
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage your own tasks effectively
- Exemplary administration, organisation and communication skills
- An appreciation for cultural diversity and an ability to adapt your communication style accordingly
- Strong negotiation and proposal writing skills
- Ability to deliver a confident and informed technical sales pitch
