Job brief:
We’re looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to actively take on and grow an existing territory in Birmingham and the surrounding region. This role requires you to have the discipline to work alone in the field and demonstrate an ability to support existing customers whilst also bringing on new business. You will be required to split your time between working from home and customer facing field sales.
Responsibilities:
- Establish, develop and maintain positive customer relationships, finding a solution to any customer problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction
- Analyse the territory potential, track sales and provide status reports
- Conduct face to face meetings with customers in their premises
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Provide reports on market trends including industry feedback such as competitor activity and potential for new products and services
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
- Continuously improve through feedback, training and coaching
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Sales Representative (minimum 2 years field-based experience)
- Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business relationships
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
- Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
- Prioritising, time management and organisational skills
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
