We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion to help the UK’s Nuclear industry thrive and grow. The Nuclear AMRC are currently looked for an independent, highly motivated and proactive individual to join our organisation as a Business Development Manager with a principle responsibility for the decommissioning sector.
The Nuclear AMRC was established in 2009 and applies a model of collaborative research to the nuclear supply chain. It has over 40 members, and helps UK manufacturers compete at home and worldwide for work in the energy sector. Both the AMRC with Boeing and Nuclear AMRC are part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, a consortium of seven leading manufacturing and process research centres backed by Innovate UK.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be required to use a unique skill set in order to deliver the Nuclear AMRC’s ambitions to enhance the capabilities and competiveness of the UK nuclear manufacturing industry, to work with members to develop world-leading manufacturing processes and technologies and to support UK manufacturing companies to compete for nuclear contracts. You will report to the Business Development Director and be accountable for the planning and delivery of the Nuclear AMRC account strategy for the decommissioning sector including the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Estate. You will help to build and maintain customer relationships with technology vendors in UK industry and identify risks, opportunities and mitigation plans.
You will have:
- An engineering degree or equivalent experience of manufacturing.
- Experience of having worked in a business development related role.
- Substantial knowledge of the UK and global civil nuclear markets.
- Consistent track record of developing business and relationships with key collaborators at all levels.
- A good understanding of business, innovation and commercialisation processes and drivers.
