About us

We’ve grown at an incredibly fast pace since our launch in 2017. We’re the trusted student-recruitment partner to 600 higher ed institutions in 35 countries worldwide. Including the University of Cambridge, Kings College London, Flame University, University of Glasgow, University of Manchester, HEC Paris, and Erasmus.

We’ve raised over $33M from top-tier investors, and we’re on course to achieve our mission of empowering 10 million students to make the right choices in their higher ed journey.

Here’s where you come in

We’re looking for a humbly exceptional, dynamic, and experienced Senior BDM to build on our existing growth, by building relationships with Higher Education Institutions and helping them see the benefits our pioneering solutions can have for their student recruitment, student well-being, and student belonging and retention efforts.

This role is primarily focused on building relationships with these institutions in Europe. By promoting and selling our innovative, market-leading solutions that are designed to enhance the student experience, you’ll directly contribute to helping us deliver our mission.

As a pivotal member of our Revenue team, you will play a critical role in expanding our market presence even further and achieving revenue targets, enabling us to innovate even more and further improve the student experience for the future.

Key activities we’d like you to take ownership of include

  • Business development strategy
    • Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the Higher Education market in Europe.

    • Identify new business opportunities and potential clients in the higher education space.

    • Collaborate with our amazing Demand Generation and Marketing teams to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials to drive lead generation.

  • Sales and Client engagement
    • Conducting thorough market research to understand the needs and pain points of higher education institutions in target markets.

    • Facilitating and taking action on the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, pitching, negotiating and closing deals.

    • Working with our brilliant Customer Success team to provide exceptional customer service to existing clients, and identifying account expansion opportunities.

  • Product knowledge and expertise
    • Develop a deep understanding of our solutions.

    • Effectively articulating the value proposition and benefits of our proposition to potential clients.

    • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, competition, and best practices, to maintain our strong competitive edge.

  • Team collaboration
    • Providing feedback to the product development team, based on customer insights and market demands, contributing to product improvements and new features.

    • Leveraging internal expertise, insights, and inspiration to inspire customers.

  • Sales reporting and performance analyses
    • Generating regular sales reports, performance metrics, and revenue forecasts for leadership review.

The qualities and experiences we’d love you to have

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets quarterly and annually.

  • First-hand experience of what it’s like to make big life decisions alone - such that you can truly empathise with our consumer/user base.

  • First-hand experience of what it’s like to face industry disruption, such that you can truly empathise with our customer base.

  • Experience in introducing and selling SaaS products and platforms.

  • The desire to build a good understanding of student wellbeing, student belonging, and student recruitment.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful business development strategies and methodologies across multiple markets.

  • A basic understanding of the Higher Education industry, its challenges and opportunities, and more importantly, a true desire to learn more about it.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

  • Enviable levels of self-motivation and relentless results orientation (whilst knowing when to ‘quit’!)

  • Willingness to travel to meet with clients and/or attend industry events, as required (but not an unreasonable amount.)

  • Lastly, the ability to (and ideally experience in) work with considerable amounts of complexity and ambiguity.

And it would be a bonus if you could bring

  • Fluency in English is required, and working proficiency in an additional European language is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with and navigating Higher Education institutions.

We know that typically some people only apply to jobs if they see themselves ticking every box. We believe we’re more than boxes to tick. If you don't meet all the requirements but think you might still be right for the role or others, please apply anyway. We're always keen to speak to people who connect with our mission and values.

Perks and benefits

  • Stock options.

  • Highly flexible work culture. We have an office in London and operate a hybrid-work environment where employees spend 1-2 days a week collaborating in person.

  • 25 days of vacation plus national holidays and four additional days company-wide at the end of the year.

  • Family-friendly policy. Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave.

  • Private healthcare provided by Bupa.

  • Mental health support provided by Spill.

  • Life insurance with Canada Life including EAP and mental health support.

We rock!
It’s our people that make us successful. We have 80 employees globally and a fantastic culture.
