Job description
Our client are a leading hospitality brand who develop hotel and leisure facilities on brownfield sites in unique locations worldwide. Working with development partners they are responsible for sourcing and managing these sites/properties through the development and construction process.
Due to a fast growing pipeline of prospective projects we are now seeking a Development Manager who will take responsibility for oversight of projects (range £5-£15m) from site identification, project feasibility and onward via planning, project procurement, construction and fit-out.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Early stage involvement in site selection
- Project feasibility and assessment
- Oversight of planning applications and lease agreements
- Manage relationships with project stakeholders, development partners, local authorities etc to insure smooth progression of project milestones
- Act as clients representative and brand manager in all dealings with architects, designers, contractors etc
- Monitor projects at all stages of the development process with a particular focus on cost, programme and quality variations
The role will involve significant interaction with development partners and design teams and is ideally suited to a construction, property or design orientated professional with client side or development experience in the high-end hospitality sector. A strong understanding of construction and cost management processes is essential.
Based in the city of London the role will cover projects across Europe and will involve some travel.
