Vacancy - Area Sales Executive / Business Development Manager
Industry - Electrical products
Location - Northern UK (ideally based around Leeds, Sheffield or Manchester and surrounding area, but not essential)
Working hours - Monday to Friday only
Salary - up circa £47K negotiable + bonuses + company car + many benefits

Our client is looking for an ambitious and driven business development manager to build and extend the sales ledger in the north of the UK (from north of the Midlands heading north)
You will be working from home whilst being able to visit customers to open new accounts.
The purpose of the role is to develop the customer base from the Midlands to the North by opening new accounts and growing profitable business in line with the commercial objectives of the business and in a manner which exceeds the expectations of customers.
The ideal candidate will have some electrical product sales experience and the ability to sell to a variety of customers including mechanical and electrical contractors.
The key to being a successful candidate in this role is to be determined, target driven and able to build good relationships with customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
To exceed sales and billing margin targets in order to make profit
To open new accounts and develop these so that the business broadens the customer base
To keep aware of trends and opportunities in the marketplace – including the activities of any competitors
To promote products and brands that meet the Company’s commercial objectives.
To manage their territory and portfolio of customers in an efficient and structured manner
Experience
Current or Recent business development experience in a B2B envionment is essential with a proven track record of success in opening new accounts
Experience of working to KPIs, in a Sales and Margin driven organisation
Electrical product knowledge is advantageous although not essential as training will be provided
