Job Purpose
This is an extremely exciting time to join Pizza Hut Europe as we embark on an ambitious growth plan over the next 3-5 years and beyond. You would be part of the Development team focusing on Europe; a high-performing and highly critical team for the business achieving its ambition.
The Development team is responsible for growing the Pizza Hut brand through recruiting new growth-minded franchisees and partnering with our existing franchisees to open new Huts and ultimately grow the estate. In our European business, this can involve new market entry, M&A and partnering with our existing franchisees on more traditional growth avenues.
Job Size
The scope focuses on the GFMEU market and this position will be based in London, UK.
The role will require you to solve complex problems, build strong internal and external relationships and take on responsibility for key reporting and analytical activities of the team. The right candidate will be committed to the brand, enthusiastic and growth minded. This role is fundamental to the success of the team and will require high levels of interaction with the wider business and franchise community.
The role will have scope to grow and take on more responsibility as the business grows with promotion opportunities achievable based on performance and fit with the YUM culture.
Job Functions
- High-level of enthusiasm for the Pizza Hut brand and commitment driving forward a much-loved global brand!
- Ability to think commercially and creatively when problem solving – we need you to take the wider business unit and, prospective and existing, franchisees on a journey towards growing the brand
- Support our existing European franchisee’s from site selection for new Huts through to the Hut being opened.
- Identify and recruit new franchisee’s in existing and new markets
- Identify, qualify and execute on M&A opportunities across the region.
- Work with all franchisee’s to mitigate closure risks
- Establish and maintain brand standards in all aspects of Development activity (site selection, construction & design, new Hut openings and remodel requirements)
- Apply automation tools to create efficiencies within the Development team.
- Accurate tracking, reporting, forecasting and associated risk of the development pipeline
- Manage competitor intelligence capability of the business unit
- Opportunity to develop and independently manage development priorities for select markets in time
- Support the wider development team as needed in planning, business review, and ad hoc projects
Moderate (30%) travel depending on pipeline priorities
Knowledge and Skill Required
General Qualifications
Preferably educated to degree level (BA/BSc), ideally in property/development, finance or business. Masters or MBA also advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen acquired through practical experience, coupled with a high level of modesty, compassion and relatability
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the QSR sector and/or franchising
- Experience in business development, strategic partnerships and strategy preferred
- Ability to demonstrate organisational impact and increasing responsibility in related areas
- Demonstrated track record of excellent Project Management skills
- Financial modelling capability
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word and real estate related tools is a plus
- Ability to speak another European language is advantageous
