Business Development Manager
Location: Deansgate, Manchester City Centre & Bonis Hall Campus, Macclesfield – Hybrid working

We work with some of the UK’s most interesting brands and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to come and join us. Armbands optional.
The Part You’ll Play…
As Business Development Manager you’ll be joining our established new business team tasked with generating new opportunities for the agency. We’re on an exciting growth path and by proactively identifying opportunities and introducing McCann Manchester’s credentials to prospective new clients, you’ll be integral to us achieving our ambitious plans.
Specifically, your role will involve:
Outbound campaign lead generation via both established target client lists and proactively finding opportunities from industry news, developments, moves etc
- Building a new business strategy working closely with our Managing Directors
- Primary responsibility for developing leads and opportunities to pitch, for social and production businesses whilst also identifying opportunities that may be relevant to the wider agency
- Managing and completing RFI’s
- Building credentials decks
- Building relationships with clients who are looking to engage McCann
- Building an outbound strategy and developing marketing campaigns to drive leads
- Managing and maintaining a black book of contacts and ongoing relationships with potential clients
- You’ll be responsible for client profiling, competitor analysis, client / category market research and pitch support
As Business Development Manager You’ll Bring…
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Business Development role with a track record of delivering results by developing outbound and inbound campaigns
- A consultative style – strategic and commercially targeted in your approach.
- Personable with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify commercial leads from an array of sources.
- Experience gained within a B2B environment. Knowledge / experience of digital, social or production would be an advantage

Specific skills
- High level of computer literacy, especially in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Confidence, positivity and ability to present yourself amongst internal/external colleagues
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Great attention to detail, combined with amazing organisational skills.
