BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are recruiting for Business Development Managers to join our specialist Insulation & Drylining branch in Wolverhampton as we build on the division's incredible success over the last 3 years. In this role, you’ll focus on the sale of insulation, drylining, lintels and related accessories as we continue to expand our trade and relationships in locations across the UK.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving new business within our expanding company. You will work closely with our internal sales teams to identify the right opportunities and build long term relations with the right prospects.

Who are we?

The Markovitz family of companies has grown both locally and nationwide, and now encompasses eight builders’ and plumbers’ merchants, three civils depots, ten insulation and drylining distribution centres, a luxury kitchen and bathroom studio, a specialist stove & cooker showroom, as well as a 2 AA-rosette awarded restaurant with rooms, The Merchant’s Yard in Tideswell, located in the very building where it all began.

What will you be doing as a Business Development Manager?

  • Take an active approach towards identifying new opportunities
  • Complete construction bids and monitor and manage bid activity
  • Coordinate and assist in the proposal process
  • Build a proposal template library that can be used by the entire sales department
  • Convince prospects and current customers to buy-in
  • Identify market opportunities
  • Create development plans and growth projects

What do you need to be a Business Development Manager?

  • You must possess excellent analytical skills to conduct market and customer research
  • Can collaborate at different levels including estimators, customers, decision-makers and contractors
  • Able to build a network and manage customer relations
  • Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability
  • Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
