The role…
The Sales Development Executive will play an important part of our growth plans. This is very much a pro-active sales role, geared towards opening new doors for us. Special focus will need to be given to our new range of Ipsos Digital products and services, though the overall scope will include selling all elements of the Ipsos Observer portfolio.
Working with the Commercial Director and wider commercial team within the Observer business, the role will be responsible for ensuring the business establishes & builds new relationships with prospective clients though their own actions and supporting the wider team in their efforts.

What will I be doing?
This is a varied and interesting role including:-
- Driving new business revenue- identifying new clients and introducing the full range of Observer services to clients, helping to build relationships, identifying and helping to renew relationships with lapsed clients
- Establishing personal credibility, increasing awareness of our offer, and creating (not waiting for) new opportunities
- Working closely with the wider team to grow revenue an relationships with clients. Ensuring a smooth transition of new wins to research teams
- Helping to develop and deliver compelling sales materials
- Providing prospects with engaging proposals/ materials for meetings and ensuring timely follow ups and next actions sent to research teams
- Continuous measurement of Observer business development process, highlighting any potential blockages and ensuring continuous improvement
- Tracking competitive market place and what is happening in the industry, helping ensure our teams are up to date with what is happening with clients and prospects
- Making Ipsos Observer famous by contributing to our Marketing and Communications Plan- acting as ambassador for the Service Line and company
What do I need to bring with me?
To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experience:-
- Be commercially minded, with strong business and financial acumen.
- Have experience in a sales/ client relationship development role (market research environment preferred but not essential)
- Experience in a B2B sales role, in a professional services environment
- Demonstrable success in previous roles in winning new business and building long term partnerships
- Strong attention to detail
- A team player
- Basic research knowledge, with a curiosity to learn
- An ability to work confidently at all times and instil confidence in colleagues and prospects alike
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Knowledge of the market research sector and Ipsos MORI’s place within it would be advantageous
