Business Development Manager

Imperial Food and Packaging is a Gloucester-based company that provides business development services to the food and beverage industry. We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to help us expand our services to the Gloucester food and beverage industry.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify new business opportunities- including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships and products- or new ways of reaching existing markets.
• Seek out appropriate contact in an organization
• generate leads and call prospective customers
• foster and develop relationships with customers
• understand the needs of customers and be able to respond effectively
• Think strategically- seeing the big picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve business
• work strategically - carry out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
• have a good understanding of the business's products and be able to advise others about them
• discuss promotional activities with customers
• liaise with warehouse and transportation

Required Skills Required Knowledge: Must be familiar with the food service industry, be able to negotiate terms of business transactions, be able to identify opportunities in the food service industry, be able to communicate effectively in person or via email, be able to work independently as well as in a team environment, be a self-starter, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment Desired Skills: Must be familiar with the food service industry, be able to identify trends in the food service industry, identify areas of improvement for the food service industry, identify opportunities in the food service industry that can benefit from our services, communicate effectively in person or via email how we can help you meet your business development needs Benefits: Full time position (40 hours per week)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
