Reporting to: Strategic Product and Data Development Manager
Location: Working remotely from home with some occasional office working.
Purpose
To manage the promotion, sale and uptake of new and existing GeoPlace products and/or services to the utility, transport and street works sector, to deliver national benefit from the use of spatial addressing and streets data.
The main objectives of the role are:
- Increase the uptake of our DataVia Service and other existing products and services principally within the B2B market
- To be the first point of contact for new ‘sales’
- Coordinate the process of sales and where relevant onboard new clients, including trial and full access, legal agreements, and billing
- Support the release and sales of new products as they are introduced to the market
- Maintain a presence in the utility, transport and street works sector through networking and relevant marketing.
Key Roles
- Responsible for developing the increased uptake, use and commercial sales process for innovative geospatial data products/services
- Responsible for developing, managing and converting leads and securing sales
- Responsible for converting leads identified though the rest of the business
- Support potential and new users in the process of deciding, purchasing, onboarding and initial use of GeoPlace commercial services.
- Maintain relationships with existing users through the setup of the services and products and during period of renewal.
- Responsible for managing and producing relevant reports for stakeholders
- Identification of actionable industry insights through networking and quantitative methods such as large-scale surveys
- Understand customer needs/motivations and present them back to the business.
- Manage the support of new users in their set up and use of the acquired data product and/or services (non-technical Support)
- Understand the sector and the evolution of technology in the sector to support iterative development of products
- To be proactive in social media, industry groups and conferences to develop relationships and support the growth and knowledge our existing customer base
- To manage and support the creation of marketing material
Skills
- Demonstrable experience of developing leads and converting them to sales
- Evidence of leading /securing multiple business wins for innovative new products
- Experience of data products, data product sales and supporting the set up of new data use (non technical Support)
