As Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales revenue growth by identifying and executing strategic growth initiatives within your assigned territory and/or sector. Your primary focus will be on converting new business opportunities, expanding product offerings to existing clients, and fostering strong customer relationships. Collaborating closely with the Sales Director, you will contribute to the formulation of strategic business growth plans and work in partnership with various internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions.
Requirements:
- Strong relationship-building, account management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to effectively engage with customers across different levels and business functions.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilising sales skills, including active listening, effective questioning, summarising, negotiating, closing, and handling objections.
- Comfortable engaging with customers, distributors, and resellers, fostering positive business relationships.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Experienced in B2B field sales and driving sales growth.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Proficiency in utilising sales-related IT systems (CRM) to manage activities and pipeline effectively.
- Flexibility in adapting to the evolving needs of the business.
- A solid understanding of the security and/or construction industry and marketplace would be beneficial although full training will be given.
- Full UK driving license and be willing to travel within the UK for meetings, including overnight stays when required.
You will over the South West of England from Bristol to Gloucester and surrounding areas. This is a hybrid role.
