Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Business Intelligence (BI) Department at University Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust (UHSx). We are looking for a BI Development Manager to take the lead for specific areas of BI development work.
You will support the BI Department and wider organisation in the reduction of existing manual data management processes through the introduction of smarter tools and approaches. You'll also ensure these approaches and tools are used for new analytical reporting requirements as well as provide support, guidance, and training to allow other members of staff to use these as part of their day-to-day business or operations.
At the same time, you'll be acting as an ambassador for good data management and will help broker stronger relationships between the BI Department and its key stakeholders.
You'll already have experience of working with end-to-end informatics development processes, specifically relating to data tools and BI analytics. You'll be comfortable with aspects such as understanding end user requirements, the building of complex data sets, the development of analytical tools and providing training and support where you think its most necessary.
Finally, you'll be comfortable in working as part of a team and taking the lead of analytical projects where required and your proactive nature will ensure that projects run on time and key stakeholders are engaged with throughout the life cycle of the development.
