Job Description - Business Development Manager

  • Salary: £30,000 per/year
  • Reporting directly to Director with the responsibility for Business Development
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00 am – 5:30 pm (1 Hour lunch break).

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Previous experience with social housing or supported housing
  • Experience/ Knowlege exempt accommodation and apply for RSL and Regulator social housing
  • Must have a car and be willing to travel.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Interpersonal skills Intermediate IT skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Time management

Minimum 2-year Business Management

Strong organisational and communications skills are critical, as the post-holder will be creating and upholding partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

DUTIES

1. To respond to business opportunities within the organisation's core markets including:

Manage tender and speculative deadlines and ensure their delivery

Actively involved in the planning and presenting of tender documents, ensuring high-quality bid writing

Oversee the management and co-ordination of tender interviews, and facilitate the post-tender debriefing in consultation with the Director

Evaluate the feedback from tender responses, and facilitate learning from this within the section

To build up intelligence and data relating to our market

Keep up-to-date with, and contribute to, Local Authority planning strategies and documents to identify opportunities for development within the area.

Work closely with colleagues in Operations to ensure services develop in line with their strategic plans

Work closely with colleagues in Operations to ensure that new business opportunities identified fit with their strategic plans.

2. To establish and maintain effective communication

To ensure effective communication networks are established and maintained with key stakeholders, both within ASPECT and the external environment.

To promote the organisation in a positive manner

3. Additional Duties

To support Group developmental projects, as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00 per year
