Silverstream Technologies, the market leader in Green Marine Technology are looking to expand their Business Development team with an Aftersales specialist.
Silverstream Technologies has successfully developed and deployed a market-leading clean marine technology solution over the last ten years – The Silverstream® System. Our Air Lubrication System (ALS) fundamentally changes the interaction between water and a vessel’s hull, creating a carpet of microbubbles that coats the flat bottom of a vessel. As a result, frictional resistance is reduced – dramatically improving a vessel’s fuel consumption and associated emissions.
The role
In support of our overall business growth and recurring revenue strategy, a position has arisen for Business Development Manager – Aftercare Solutions. Reporting to the Business Development Director, the Business Development Manager – Aftercare Solutions will design, develop, and commercialise a range of innovative Aftercare solutions for Silverstream Technologies product portfolio. The role will be responsible for the generation and qualification of new aftercare enquires, developing proposals and closing sales.
The responsibilities
Own the development of the Silverstream Aftercare strategyDesign, develop and commercialise a range of innovative Aftercare solutions
Develop long-term customer and industry stakeholder relationships
Develop solution design, sales, and delivery strategy
Consider aftercare strategy design for indirect/licencing sales of our products
Evaluate, prioritise, and manage enquiries
Develop aftercare proposals
Deliver against agreed sales targets and actively participate in business strategy planning
Create organic linkage between customer and supply partners using their information, feedback, and market projections
Support the preparation of promotional materials
Manage risks and opportunities
Apply specific focus to the build, presentation and negotiation of new aftercare contracts
Promote commercial compliance, adhering to the Company procedure and approval requirements
Support organisational learning and continuous improvement
Prepare for and lead customer and industry stakeholder visits, meetings and support supplier engagement
Seek, assess, and address feedback from stakeholders to monitor role, personal performance, and overall success of our Aftercare business
The requirements
Qualified to a degree levelProven Aftercare sales/business development experience, including strategy/business model development and proposal development
Demonstrate ability to cope with ambiguity and fluidity, working with both internal and external stakeholders to gain their buy-in to solution design
Strong interpersonal skills: demonstrating ability to work with personnel at all levels (internally and externally). Adept at building and maintaining long term, mutually beneficial, relationships
Excellent self-management skills with disciplined motivation; positive and flexible outlook with a drive for success
Demonstrate high levels of integrity, respect, and courtesy with sound cultural awareness
