Job description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in a startup in the Web3 industry.
- Experience working in direct or indirect sales.
- Experience working with Blockchain and Digital Asset technologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working at or with popular exchanges, layer x protocol providers, or blockchain services companies.
- Understanding of common Web3 concepts such as DLT, NFT, DeFi, CBDC, DApp, staking.
- Understanding of differences between Layer 1 and Layer 2 protocols, public vs private blockchains, proof-of-work, proof-of-stake, and other consensus mechanisms.
- Familiarity with policy and regulatory frameworks surrounding the cryptocurrency space.
- Ability to discuss and present a point of view on the utility gap between traditional enterprise and Web 3.0 technologies.

As a Sales Specialist within the Web3 team, you will develop new startup relationships, leverage existing relationships with startup founders, and act as a business partner to understand our customer’s challenges and goals. You will advocate the innovative power of our products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile, using your passion for Google products and blockchain to help spread Google and our products to organizations around the world.

Responsibilities
- Build and grow startup founders and VC relationships with startups, influence long-term strategic directions, and serve as a business partner.
- Discuss and manage complex business cycles, present to startup founders, and support Web3 opportunities in other customer segments (e.g., Corporate, Enterprise) and global customers.
- Lead account strategy to generate and develop business growth opportunities, work collaboratively with Web3 Customer Engineers, the global Web3 team, the Google Cloud EMEA Web3 community, and Google Web3 partners, and create new opportunities.
- Understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, business drivers, technology strategy, and competitive landscape.
- Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
