We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Representative to join our Institutional team in London.
The Business Development Representative role will involve undertaking proactive opportunity development in partnership with the new business sales team for UK Institutional Clients, namely Fund Management Groups and Distributors.
This will entail learning and executing on specific programmatic GTM understanding the customer value proposition, researching and identifying the relevant stakeholder in the target market and directly engaging with such stakeholders to create and qualify potential opportunities.
Your key responsibilities as a Business Development Representative will include:
- Outbound calling both new prospects and existing clients
- Booking online demonstrations and/or face to face meetings for our flagship Institutional propositions
- Proactively calling and understand the needs of and engage with prospects/customers who have either shown an interest in our products or introduce them to our solutions either through lead generation or referral activity.
- Following up marketing activity to actively encourage attendance at product webinars or to arrange demos
- Answering potential customer questions and follow-up call questions
- Proactively calling existing clients to book meetings in line with campaigns, increasing flows and widening foothold in firm.
- Where required working with onboarding team to ensure clients are getting the best out of the service, working with AM, BDM & Onboarding specialist.
- Supporting regions and territory grow and retain assets under management in line with BDM efforts
- Raising awareness of the broader FE Fundinfo proposition
- Managing your own pipeline and business through our Salesforce platform
To join us as a Business Development Representative you will need the following experience and skills:
- You must have excellent communication skills conveying confidence, sincerity and professionalism, with an ability to build rapport at all levels of an organisation
- You will be a self-starter – identifying opportunities and gaps through client conversations
- You will have strong presentation skills – reinforce the FEI proposition to clients
- You must have excellent time management skills
- You must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- You will ideally have telesales or sales experience, and a knowledge of Salesforce would be advantageous
