In the role of a Business Development Assistant within LGT Capital Partners (U.K.) Limited, this role will support the business development team in the following key tasks:
General responsibilities:
- Administrative support to the BUD team members - such as preparing sales presentations, agenda management, prioritizing requests, preparing client review presentations, quarterly updates for clients and specific marketing materials;
- UK BUD meetings - preparing sales documents, the agenda, taking minutes and distributing Preparation of internal and external meetings, and taking minutes, where necessary.;
- Client support - co-ordinating audit responses to client’s auditors and clients Arranging onsite and offsite meetings, client events, workshops as well as team events.;
- Consultant database support- help update various databases, including CAMRAdata, Mercer GIMD, eVestment
- CRM – support the business on SLX/Dealcloud
- Events - co-ordinate the various logistics with conference organisers when LGT is sponsoring and has a stand etc.
- Arranging onsite and offsite meetings, client events, workshops as well as team events.
Additional tasks:
- Message management - receive and screen incoming telephone calls and taking messages when necessary (for relevant BUD call group);
- Event planning - assisting in internal and external events/meetings, e.g., Christmas parties, company retreats etc.
Requirements
Education and Training
Graduate / University degree
Professional Experience
- Relevant working experience 5+ years as assistant in sales/marketing; preferably in the financial industry and ideally in alternatives & private markets firms;
- Experience of creating PowerPoint presentations that support the sales process is preferred
Languages
English (fluent), other European languages of advantage
IT
Excellent IT skills (MS Office), in particular PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Personal Attributes
- Strong motivational and organisational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task;
- Proven ability to work well both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision;
- Energetic and capable of working under time constraints;
- Strong acumen for logistical and meeting coordination.
