ROLE
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate due diligence of CTS opportunities through product and client targeting strategies
- Assess usefulness of external databases and make recommendations for subscriptions and renewal to support business growth through targeting approaches
- Identify potential new data resources/tools to add with lead generation, and industry differentiators
- Own and maintain key data resource tools and associated vendor relationships
- Research products, clients
- Carry out benchmarking and gap analysis vs. competitors
- Produce and maintain product/manufacturer and client targeting reports, identifying key opportunities through systems/tools/resources and research, providing reports to business development team
- Understand the potential partnering (client and manufacturer) companies and their challenges (through on-line research and networks)
- Research industry market dynamics to aid with identification of trends and potential differentiators in the space
- Understand the Clinigen business and capabilities of each division and region to identify and articulate solutions to offer potential partners and clients
- Formulate strategies in collaboration with the following Clinigen teams: business development, account management, strategic sourcing, finance, quality, operations, supply chain, digital, marketing & sales
- Develop and communicate findings and market intel in a variety of formats including market assessments, sales forecasts and/or business cases and plans
- Develop business plans/proposals with business development, in line with Clinigen corporate guidelines
- Provide requested reporting on general business development activities as requested by SVP
- Aid with the preparation of business development presentations and participate in BD meetings, take meeting minutes
- Upkeep Business Development storage repository (e.g. SharePoint site) with BD meeting minutes, reports, and business proposals
- Maintain up-to-date information on the CRM (Salesforce)
- Triage generated leads/referrals for business development team
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Clinigen standard operating procedures and policies and ensure compliance at all time
- Ensure company related activities comply with relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards
REQUIREMENTS
Role Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in pharmaceutical industry, within a new business development, product launch or medical marketing type role
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant science field
- Experience in market and asset analysis relating to medicines
- Adaptable and self-motivated, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Ability to work across various therapeutic areas and various markets, preferably within the European or Latin American regions
- Resourceful with strong analytical skills, with ability to draw conclusions that are data driven and rationale
- Skills: MS office, in particular power point and excel
