Join one of the largest and most established, highly ranked specialist higher education in its field as a Educational Developer (Study Skills) to work closely with the Educational Development team in the Directorate of Learning and Wellbeing. This is a unique time to join a team that is dedicated to providing expert curricular enhancement and development support to staff and flexible study skills support to our students.
This role will work at based in North West London with the opportunity for hybrid working (3 days per week in-person on Campus).
As a Educational Developer (Study Skills) you will be responsible for:
- Leading activities and projects relating to academic skills development and development of high quality online and face-to-face learning resources which enable students to fulfill their academic potential
- To provide individual and group support to students regarding academic skills (including English for academic purposes, revisions, report writing etc.) time management and digital literacy skills contextualised to their specific programme
- Contribute to wider institutional initiatives for student induction to support the transition to HE and support for academic staff
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Relevant first degree
- Experience in a learning support role or previous guidance experience or in delivering learning and teaching
- Experience of planning, implementing, and evaluating educational development activities to enhance teaching excellence and the student learning experience
- Knowledge of good practice in coaching and mentoring
- Awareness of good practice in relation to equality, diversity, and inclusion across all aspects of the HE curriculum
