Pearson VUE offers a great environment to start or grow your career, we are now hiring for an Online Assessment Developer to join our team based in Salford Quays (remote working optional).
The Online Assessment Developer is responsible for a range of duties in relation to the creation and publishing of computer based exams and assessments. Full training will be provided.
The Online Assessment Developer is part of the Publishing Services team, and is responsible for supporting lead team members with various tasks including compiling and modifying assessments using proprietary Pearson VUE software tools, setting pricing and registration dates and making the assessments available in the VUE Testing System.
Key Responsibilities
- Using Pearson VUE software tools to build and modify exams in line with client specifications, and publish them to the Pearson VUE Testing System.
- Through teamwork and effective communication with the wider Publishing Services team, ensure the highest quality standards for all work completed.
- Proactively plan to meet strict deadlines for multiple streams of concurrent work.
- Escalate issues and risks to lead team members and managers in a timely fashion.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry-related experience.
- Enthusiasm and ability to learn a complex software system
- Understanding of software tools, testing and quality assurance concepts
- Good with written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable (not essential) Skills
- Familiarity with QTI XML
- Familiarity with HTML & JavaScript
