Your Role and Responsibilities
Your roles & responsibilities:

As an IBM Business Consultant Intern, you will work with the latest technologies and collaborate with team members to create real impact for our clients and the greater world. You will have the opportunity to bring innovative ideas forward, put your transferable skills to work, and develop and learn new skills that will support your career growth. During your internship experience, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work alongside a global community of 6000+ interns and meet other IBMers during networking events, special team events and career development activities
• Grow your skills through a combination of education platforms, and receive career guidance from your manager, coach, and mentor to get everything you need to shape the start of your career
• Learn about a client's industry, tackle new challenges, and learn about how their business and technology intersect
• Participate on a consulting project or initiative and experience first-hand how we help transform our clients business

The recruitment process

• Please only apply for 1 University Placement scheme
• You must be an undergraduate and in your second year at university and be required to complete a year in industry as part of your degree.

Once you have applied the team will screen you application, you will follow the below steps, you need to meet the requirements of each staged to pass onto the next

• Application form – this will be emailed to you and you will have 2 days to complete and return
• Assessment centre. – held virtual and will last half a day
• Matching Process – this will be explained during the assessment centre.

University Placements run from June/July/August/September 2024 for 12 months


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Undertaken two years at university, require a year in industry and will then return to university for the final year.
• Require a third year in industry as part of your university course
• Eligible to working in the UK for the whole placement (UK/Ireland passport/Student visa/Settled or Pre-settled status)
• Enthusiastic – you don’t need a specific degree background to apply but we do ask you have plenty of energy and passion for the area you are applying for!

On an IBM University Placement, you will be working in an innovative, creative and exciting working environment.
