Salary: £40,000-£50,000 dependent on qualifications & experience, plus outstanding benefits package

Hours: 39 hours per week (Hybrid Working) Monday to Thursday 08:30-17.00, Friday 08:30-16.00

Our IT/IS department support the group business of around 400 employees to implement and support technology and business application use that provides a beneficial impact to our customers and service delivery.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Applications Analyst to join our IT/IS team.

We are currently recruiting for a business analyst to join our experienced team, working in a positive environment where the successful candidate will work collaboratively throughout the business operations as part of the team ensuring our reputation of high quality is upheld.

The successful candidate will report to the IT Manager and be responsible for supporting and developing our business applications, including IFS v9, 365, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Planner. You will also be responsible for leading ERP/365 systems management and development.

Responsibilities

Key duties include a range of responsibilities which include but are not limited to;

People and Processes

· Analyse user needs, develop application specifications and identify the required inputs and format outputs to meet users' needs.

· Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications.

· Ensure all activities conform to procedures and policies on change management, information security, and confidentiality.

· Provide training to key business staff on IFS expertise

· Undertake continuous improvement activities from user feedback and suggestions.

· Develop and maintain relationships with internal user groups, vendors, and partner teams.

· Develop reports in support of business teams.

· Participate in developing guidance documentation for end users.

Technology

· Develop and support business applications, including some programming and system administration tasks.

· Develop new processes and procedures to meet current challenges.

· Troubleshoot, investigate, analyse, and evaluate escalated (day-to-day) problems to resolve system issues and track these issues.

· Gather requirements and design the most accurate and efficient solution possible.

· Participate in the change control process.

· Design solutions for applications and prepare the appropriate documentation.

· Responsible for independent configuration and updates of core business applications.

Financial

· Plan and coordinate downtime, change management, maintenance, and upgrades.

· Investigate errors, diagnose problems, and recommend solutions.

· Assist departments in identifying problems and providing alternative and innovative solutions.

The Candidate:

The role is suited to an individual who is a critical thinker, organised and has excellent listening and interpersonal skills and provides a great opportunity to join a growing industry.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting and developing IFS, 365 SharePoint, Power Automate and Planner. Experience working with IFS mobile apps and involvement in involvement in ERP (IFS) is also beneficial.

Essential skills and experience:

· Graduate in business & computer science, information sciences or information technology equivalent

· Experience as a Business Applications / Systems Analyst or similar role

· Experience of supporting and developing IFS (v9 or above)

· Experience of supporting and developing 365 SharePoint, Power Automate and Planner

· Experience with PL/SQL, Oracle Database 19c

· Comfortable working with enterprise resource planning and unit testing

Desirable skills and experience:

· Experience of working with IFS Mobile Apps and their supporting technology

· Involvement in ERP (IFS) systems implementation or upgrade project

· Familiar with business process analysis and continuous improvement frameworks

· Experience of user training & help-desk services
