Available Job Today Business Analyst – Life and or Reinsurance
Contract
3 Months initially (long-term expectations)
£600/day – Outside IR35
50/50 hybrid split.
My prestigious insurance client has been engaged in a certain programme of work to create an innovative, state-of-the-art platform which facilitates the administration of single risk seriatim data and complies with data protection requirements.
This system supports the ambition of the Life Division by harmonizing processes, replacing multiple isolated legacy tools and focusing the organization on more value-add tasks.
For the purposes of this role, the key objectives (out of many) are:
Increase access to data and improve quality.
Improve efficiency.
Support customer centricity & improve user experience.
Decrease operational risks.
Contribute to the deployment of the Life Target application architecture.
Nature of Profile
My insurance client seeks a Business Analyst to support the roll-out and the maintenance of the platform within the Business Competency Centre department.
The Business Analyst reports to the Head of the Competency Centre department and works in close relationships with other Team members.
The ideal candidate will have experience in similar roles including experiences in Change Management.
Key duties and responsibilities:
The scope of duties & responsibilities is large and can include:
Acquire the skills required to become a Platform expert.
Support other Team Members and bring the methodology to Change Management activities.
Contribute to process reengineering initiatives (incl. methodology, documentation, etc.).
Assist Team Members with activity reporting.
Contribute to the set-up and/or the animation of user communities.
Define test strategy with stakeholders.
Establish and document appropriate methodologies, tools, and processes to provide efficient support to the Business.
Experience:
Desirable Skills and competencies:
5 years experience, ideally on Life (re)insurance projects / or Life (Re)Insurance operations
Experience in Agile projects
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to act as both interface and facilitator with both Business Users and Technical Teams
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience with large IT projects in Financial Services
Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire knowledge of business & processes.
Demonstrated ability to have a production/operational role on a project.
Analytical mindset

Ability to adjust to varying or unexpected changing conditions and shifting priorities.
