Job description
Are you looking for a Business Analyst role that will allow you exposure and experience of an exciting change period?
We have created two new roles on a 12 month fixed term basis to support the company during the roll out of a significant project. The project is our Open Horizon programme, which has been initiated to support our strategic goal to ensure that universal access to research becomes a reality for everyone. The roles will be responsible for providing detailed analysis on how a business function works, documenting findings covering the current and target state, as well as making recommendations for improvements. The roles will sit within our Tech department, reporting into our Chief Technology Officer.
What will you be doing?
Key role accountabilities include:
- Undertake detailed analysis and research to understand how a business function or unit works, considering the people, processes, data and technology.
- Document current and target state models to an appropriate level of detail ensuring all key functional and non-functional requirements are covered.
- Identify and present areas for improvement aligned to the company’s strategic goals.
- Play a key part in project and product teams as required providing support and input to guide development.
- Work with existing Business Analysis resource across the company to improve Business Analysis processes, documentation and templates.
Successful applicants should demonstrate some or all of the following:
- Formal qualification in Business Analysis e.g. BCS (ISEB) Business Analysis Certification preferred but not essential
- Significant prior experience providing Business Analysis within a global, fast-paced organisation
- Strong knowledge of Business Analysis mapping techniques and processes
