Aa a Barclays Business Analyst - Data Business Partner, you will be acting within a team of data partners and analysts, the Business Analyst role will be responsible for the delivery of an evolving capability within the CIB CDO focused on meeting data quality and control standards across multiple areas of the business. This is a unique role for a candidate with solid project delivery experience, but also a willingness to investigate business challenges at a detailed level across data sets, operational processes.

What will you be doing?
• Investigating and analyzing data to understand the availability, meaning and suitability of data
  • Analyzing and documenting relevant business processes finding opportunities to streamline activities
  • Defining of requirements and specifications for proposed data remediation efforts to meet regulatory commitments
  • Delivering impact assessments and business cases to senior stakeholders
  • Managing designated set of Corporate & Investment Bank Data Domain(s)
  • Supporting the governance of mandatory metadata ensuring accuracy and completeness
What we’re looking for:
• Broad experience and understanding in business and data analysis within a complex end-to-end architecture
  • Significant experience in data and process operating model process re-engineering and ownership
  • Working experience and understanding freely and proactively on assigned tasks with limited supervision
  • Proven experience in data management, risk, and controls within a financial services organization, at a senior level


Skills that will help you in the role:
• Corporate or Investment Banking experience (Corporate Banking, Wholesale Lending, Coverage Banking and Banking Reference Data)
  • Ability to Deliver within a regulatory environment e.g. Basel, BCBS 239 etc
  • Understanding of Process improvement or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE, PMI)
