The Monetization & Portfolio Management (MPM) team within Warner Bros Discovery Technology Operations is looking for a Business Analyst that will lead and support multiple initiatives with our Worldwide Theatrical Worldwide Theatrical Marketing & Distribution division business partners.

The Business Analyst, will be responsible for supporting key applications and implement technology projects through a combination of project management, business analysis, solutions development and coordination with other teams. The individual will identify business needs and opportunities and provide solutions that address the business' goals.


Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Act as point of contact for technical support of sales, distribution and marketing solutions for International Theatrical business teams. Resolve application issues that are raised: troubleshooting, escalating, and communicating on behalf of the business users with relevant support members until issues are resolved.
  • Analyse and document business processes and underlying systems/applications, identify and analyse business needs, and develop strategies to improve efficiency and productivity through technology.
  • Collaborate with business process owners and business leadership to plan, develop, and implement technology solutions.
  • Advocate for the business: proactively research, recommend and develop solutions that improve the business processes of the division. Seek out opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to the benefit of the business.
  • Represent Monetisation & Portfolio Management in company-wide, technology-wide, or department-wide initiatives.
  • Providing Key Deliverables:
    • Business Requirements Documents/User Stories
    • Application Operation Documents
    • Process Documentation and Workflows (Current and Future State)
    • Functional Design Documents
    • Presentations to Technology and Business stakeholders
    • Test Plans/Test Scripts
    • Status Reports
    • Risk & Issue Logs



Qualifications & Experience…

  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting, and managing business, functional and technical requirements
  • Experience in project management – planning, co-ordinating, reporting and executing.
    • Experience with both traditional Waterfall SDLC and Agile / Lean methodologies
    • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints.
    • Actively communicating status, changes in scope, and schedule to all parties concerned.
    • Being Point-of-Contact for all stakeholders and acting as clearing house for questions and concerns.
    • Technical knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas:
      • Oracle-SQL is critical to the role.
      • AWS / Cloud Technologies, Business Objects, Excel Macros, VBA and Python is desirable.
      • MS-SQL, Tableau, Salesforce or SAP is nice to have.
      • Project Management tools (Jira, Monday.com, or similar)
      • Providing solutions using Office 365 tools (Excel, SharePoint, Flow, Teams etc.)
  • Strong critical / analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must demonstrate resiliency when met with challenges or setbacks
  • High energy level, adaptive and a strong team player with a good work ethic
  • Previous experience working in Media & Entertainment industry with Theatrical distribution exposure would be desirable.
