Our Senior Business Analyst supports our Business Intelligence Analytics team. The BIA team is responsible for the data and reporting for our revenue cycle operations for both internal and external customers. As our Senior Business Analyst, you will develop reports, analyze data and help drive solutions for key business initiatives.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
- Independently creating, optimizing, automating SQL queries to support revenue cycle reporting needs
- Developing scalable solutions to scrape data and integrate billing, practice management, and claims data into a consolidated data mart
- Building and publishing visualizations in Tableau and PowerBI to communicate results with stakeholders
- Provide AdHoc analytical support to operations and other internal teams for ongoing revenue cycle initiatives
- Collaborate with accounting, finance, and healthcare economics to support the OptumCare fee for service businesses
- Translate detailed revenue cycle analysis into an executive summary
- Troubleshoots data integrity issues, analyzes data for completeness to meet business needs, and proposes documented solution recommendations
- Provides subject matter expertise on all data elements and report content
- Undergraduate degree or 2+ years of relevant experience in an analytics role
- 2+ years of experience with intermediate level of proficiency in SQL (ability to understand and write complex queries, data modeling, and optimization)
- 2+ years of experience with intermediate level of proficiency with Tableau (ability to create and maintain complex dashboards and visualizations)
- Experience communicating with and providing recommendations to VP/SVP level leaders
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, charts)
- Tableau Desktop certified
- Experience with Business Intelligence in Healthcare and/or in Healthcare Revenue Cycle
- Healthcare revenue cycle management experience
- Advanced Tableau proficiency (build complex calculations, table calculations, complex joins from multiple data sources, performance tuning, data blending, server permissions, trouble shoot failures, etc.)
- Advanced SQL proficiency
