Job description
Our busy and diverse IT department is looking for a Business Analyst who will be responsible for Business System processes.
We're looking for a motivated and ambitious individual, who understands how outstanding technology solutions can make to our organisation in improving the customer journey.
The role will be closely aligned to a software delivery team and will liaise with business leaders to ensure requirements are gathered and help report back the progress of these appropriately.
Responsibilities of the role
- Experience in analysing complex cross-functional business requirements, reviewing and improving business processes
- Ability to identify, manage, and resolve conflict while building successful business relationships across a range of stakeholder groups
- Perform use-case analysis to model the interactions between systems and users
- Identify how business requirements may be supported by business systems
- Document requirements as user stories with user acceptance criteria within Azure DevOps
- Deliver on commitments, and work collaboratively within the development team
- Ability to identify business risks and provide solutions to mitigate them
- Ability to communicate coherently to non-technically minded business stakeholders
- Work with software delivery teams, using Agile framework, to progress solution delivery
- Work with Application support to offer business and application insight in triaging incidents and change requests
- Requirements of the role
- 2-3 years of BA or customer/process journey experience
- Practical understanding of agile / SCRUM methodologies
- Experience in performing requirements elicitation
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously, and deliver on commitments in a timely fashion
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to confidently meet stakeholders, build rapport and manage expectations
