About this role
Our Business Analysts work with our larger PIM and MDM implementation projects, with our retail, distributor and brand clients. These projects usually involve a large programme of digital and data transformation, across the product life cycle. Our business analysts are experts in process design and requirements capture, working closely with our client stakeholders and SMEs. Business Analysts often support the functional build of our PIM and MDM solutions during the build phase in a requirements and QA capacity. They also ensure quality, complete and consistent product data is at the foundation of each engagement.
Working under the leadership of a Lead Business Consultant, they support the definition, documentation and delivery of business requirements during our client PIM solution discovery, design and in conjunction with our Centre of Excellence, Data and Solution Architects to coordinate the delivery of the technology solution to meet the client's needs. Generally, these technology platforms will be one or many of the several software platforms we implement.
What we expect from you...
Run client-facing workshops to facilitate business process and data requirements definition.
Analyse large, as-is complex business processes and business architectures across the product lifecycle
Document target business processes & workflows
Consult and work with solution delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements
Train client SMEs on new solution
You must have:
Worked either in consulting or on the clients side on one or more retail, brand, manufacturer or distributor data-related projects, ideally around the product data space - for example, eCommerce, Digital, ERP, supply chain, DAM, PLM or product & supplier management.
Been a business analyst on one or more complex end-to-end PIM or MDM projects
Deep understanding of retail and distribution operating models relating to product and master data management
Understanding of processes including new product introduction, vendor onboarding, merchandising, content enrichment, channel publishing and syndication
Understand how to create a business requirements document and functional specification for a PIM or MDM solution
Experience supporting functional testing and UAT in a hands-on capacity
Experience writing training materials and training business users
Used Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucid Charts
Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with diligent attention to detail
Proven experience in UML and other process modelling techniques
Understand how to estimate Business Analysis effort
You also may have...
You have played a role on the client-side in product data management, or an associated role in digital product ownership on a transactional website or app
You understand the key concepts of data governance and data quality such as accuracy, consistency, completeness
Having a view of the wider business processes and systems to build a picture of how new/improved integrations will be received
Have used 1 or more PIM or MDM solutions such as Enterworks, Stibo, Riversand, Informatica, Salsify, Sales Layer
