We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join the First Party Apps team. We are a friendly and enthusiastic group, comprising three Scrum teams building the commerce and service journeys for Sky Glass and Sky Q, using the Comcast Lightning framework. We are quality-focused with a strong emphasis on collaboration between developers and testers, driving appropriate levels of test automation (unit, integration, E2E) across the team.

Our team also get together to work on our own in-house ideas which can give birth to side-projects, team talks or fun knowledge sharing sessions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Working as part of one or more scrum teams analysing product requirements of new features for our applications
Working with product owners to build user stories and supporting documentation for the development teams
Working with technical architects to understand detailed design and implementation
Working with UX\UI design teams to ensure required assets and wireframes are delivered
Understand, follow and champion agile practices
You will need to coordinate with many stakeholders to understand briefs, capture requirements and identify data sources required to solve business problems
You will proactively develop yourself as an analyst, keeping up to date with industry trends
You will need to work with data reporting teams and systems to create dashboards, draw and share conclusions from acquired data

Desirable Skills:

Solid technical background. Understanding of continuous delivery, programming practices, software architecture
Understanding of APIs, JSON
Experience in working within an application delivery team
Experience delivering customer facing UI for TV or OTT platforms
Knowledge of JavaScript or Typescript
Strong literacy skills and desire to document processes and practices for sharing
Experience with Jira, Confluence
Active participation in relevant technology communities (meet ups, conferences)
Knowledge and experience using Sky TV products.
