The Opportunity
Samworth Brothers are looking to appoint an experienced and proven Business Analyst who can support the Group Supply Chain Director in the delivery of our initiatives within supply and procurement ways of working.
The successful candidate will be required to identify, define, document business processes, current systems usages, KPI’s and RACI’s currently in place in all our bakeries linked to the purchase of materials from suppliers from set of material base file to payment of the material. Once all bakeries are mapped and agreed New 2B process is created the successful candidate will document the new. Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Director they will serve as a liaison between category sites, group procurement and category supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain an understanding of relevant business area(s) to be able to recommend solutions and requirements.
- Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps in accountability and responsibility.
- Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
- Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting processes to proposed solutions.
- Translate individual and team requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
- Work with supply chain and procurement teams to prioritize requirements.
- Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.
- Support the creation of RACI’s for activities.
- Supports teams in creating KPI’s that we ensure group alignment to process and RACi’s.
- Support supply chain and procurement teams in delivering the new processes.
- Identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.
- Map how process and procedures link together and how they enter technology.

- Background in food manufacturing or operationally led business
- Experienced in determining the needs and requirements of various stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of a new business area.
- Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage people of all teams and levels.
- Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence all levels across the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation or business requirements summaries.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools such as Jira.
