South Coast Medical Group is an award-winning NHS Primary Care Network, comprising five GP surgery locations in the Bournemouth general area and serving over 35,000 patients in total.
Job Details:
- Monday to Friday between 09.30 - 6.30pm ( 1 hour Unpaid Lunch)
- Based at Crescent Providence Surgery
- Pay rate £12 per hour
- 37.5 - 40 Hours per week

We employ over 25 General Practitioners, with key areas of clinical excellence and a compassionate manner in order to provide the highest quality of holistic care for all patients.
· We work in partnership with a significant multi-disciplinary team including Pharmacists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Paramedics (for pre-assessment screening and home visits).
· We have a dedicated administrative team who support the provision of a highly effective patient recall system for chronic disease management.
· We have a designated Workflow team responsible for the receipt, circulation and management of all clinical correspondence, liaising between all disciplines of staff to provide support to our clinicians.
· We enjoy the support of a full Business, HR and IT support function, led by a centralised senior leadership team with a wealth of expertise.

We have an exciting opportunity for an I.T & Business Support Administrator to join our team. This role is current primarily based at Crescent Providence Surgery, though the role is Network based and does cover multiple practice locations within a 5-mile radius. Ability to travel between sites by vehicle (with full UK driving license) is therefore essential for this role. Working hours are Monday to Friday between 09:30am – 6:30pm (one-hour unpaid lunch), 37.5 - 40 hours per week.
Job Summary:
Main duties include:
· Network Support – including but not limited to providing basic networking troubleshooting e.g. switches, routers, wireless access points, patching.
· Software Support – including but not limited to providing software installation and troubleshooting for all software in use by South Coast Medical Group staff e.g. TPP SystmOne (Clinical Patient Administration System), and Windows Office 365.
· Hardware Support – including but not limited to workstation preparations, PC refresh programmes, equipment configuration, servicing, and calibration.
· Information Governance & Data Security – including but not limited to data protection impact assessments, subject access requests, freedom of information act requests, data breach incident reporting, and all related queries.
· Administrative & Data Entry Tasks – including but not limited to starters, movers, & leavers process, account creation, Care Quality Commission (CQC) administration, maintain I.T. asset & e-mail distribution lists, pathology & radiology re-distribution and performance audits/metrics.
This role is diverse, fast-paced and varied, with both reactive and proactive responsilbities. The right candidate will be adaptable and able to respond to frequently changing business needs by being flexible and approachable. The right candidate will also be conscientious, have high attention to detail and a passion for troubleshooting/problem solving.
This role provides vital support to the ongoing success of South Coast Medical Group by adding value as a key member within the I.T & Business Support department.
